Farmstay cabins

Bring the whole family to experience life on a farm in the lush hinterland of Byron Bay, or book our farmstay for your own event.

At Imogen’s Farm we grow wine grapes, beef cattle and Australian native rainforest and eucalypt trees for timber.  We also have chickens, vegetable gardens and fruit and nut trees.  A bush regenerator works on the property for two days per week, and we are active in Landcare in the local area.

We are in the process of gaining eco-tourism accreditation.  The whole farmstay is actually recycled!  It includes a wine-tasting room (previously a farm shed), a fully-equipped kitchen and common area for guests to share (previously the milk separating room of the old dairy) and two cabins with three guest rooms.  The cabins were relocated from Belongil Beach, Byron Bay, where they were being removed to make way for a new development.  The cabin verandahs look out over a rainforest grove.  On the edge of the grove is a renovated piggery, which is great for parties, yoga or relaxing on a hot day.  Recycled wood has been used for most of the farmstay additions, and there is solar hot water and gas for cooking.  All wastes on the property are recycled and composted (where possible).  We use and supply local and/or organic products; such as eggs from our chickens for your breakfast, local coffee and tea and top quality Australian organic cotton sheets.

The “queen room” has a large, private verandah. The shower and toilet features a mosaic floor by Scott Harrower, a local mosaic artist.  This cabin has a queen-sized bed and a double sofa bed.

The two double rooms have a large, shared verandah and each has a shower and toilet, a double and a single bed.

A cot and extra single mattresses are available upon request.

Full breakfast provisions are included in the standard room rate.  For other meals, you can bring your own food and cook it yourself (there is a herb garden next to the kitchen for fresh ingredients) or we can cater for you (by prior arrangement).

You can also visit nearby eateries such as Mayfields Restaurant (at the Dunoon Sports Club), or The Channon Tavern.  There is also a bakery and take-away next to the Modanville Store (on the Dunoon to Lismore road).

A highchair is available in the kitchen.
